Private Guided Adventures with Afrika Jack

Explore The Iconic Kruger

The Kruger is probably the best place to see all of the Big 5…lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhino.

Kruger National Park has captured my heart from a very young age. My parents took us to Kruger 3-4 times per year, and it is still my favourite place in South Africa. I still visit Kruger a few times a year, not only for business, but it is also our annual family holiday destination.

Come join me on a private adventure, where I will guide you in Kruger for 5 nights.

We will stay in the wonderful rest camps in Central Kruger, an area know for magnificent wildlife such as white lions, leopards, cheetahs and wild dogs.

These Kruger tours don’t have any scheduled dates – you can advise your preferred dates, subject to my availability.

This is not the same as the Okavango Delta tours where different guests join a scheduled departure – this is meant for couples, families and friends who want to experience a first safari, which is also affordable.

Kruger National Park
The Wild Heart of South Africa

Kruger National Park is one of the world’s most renowned and iconic wildlife sanctuaries, located in the north-eastern part of South Africa in the provinces of Limpopo and Mpumalanga.

Key Features

 * Size and Scope: It is South Africa’s largest national park, covering nearly 2 million hectares, stretching approximately 360 km (220 miles) from north to south. Its immense size allows for diverse landscapes and ecosystems.

 * Wildlife Diversity: Kruger is famous for its unparalleled biodiversity, boasting more species of large mammals than any other African game reserve.

  • The Big Five: It is one of the best places in Africa to spot the Big Five: Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Rhino (both black and white), and Buffalo.

  • Abundance: The park is home to an incredible number of species, including:

  • 147 Mammal species

  • 507 Bird species (including the “Big Six” for birding)

  • 114 Reptile species

  • 336 Tree species

  • Notable sightings include large herds of elephants and buffalo, cheetah, African wild dog, giraffe, zebra, and various antelopes.

 * Landscape: The park features a variety of landscapes (or ecosystems), from the grassy plains and savannas of the south to the thick mopane thickets and majestic baobab trees in the north, intersected by several major perennial rivers.

 * History: Established in 1898 as the Sabie Game Reserve to protect the Lowveld’s wildlife, it became South Africa’s first national park in 1926. It also holds significant archaeological and cultural heritage sites, with evidence of human habitation dating back hundreds of thousands of years.

 * Safari Experience: Kruger is known for offering a range of safari experiences, including self-drive safaris (with an excellent road network), guided game drives, walking safaris, and night drives. It features numerous public rest camps and private luxury lodges.

The Kruger National Park is considered the flagship of South Africa’s national parks, offering a world-class, authentic, and massive African safari experience.
